Help Alzheimer’s disease research by participating in this study! Participants in this study will receive a PET scan at no cost to determine if there is amyloid plaque in the brain.
Brain amyloid plaques are a hallmark of Alzheimer’s disease (AD) which are sticky “clumps” of protein that build up around brain nerve cells and disrupt healthy brain activity.
Currently, the best way to determine if you have amyloid in your brain is with a brain amyloid Positron Emission Tomography (PET) scan that uses FDA approved radiotracers.
Results may be helpful for understanding your risk of AD, your ability to participate in other research studies, or your suitability for future medications that clear amyloid from the brain.
This study is seeking volunteers of all races, ethnicities, and backgrounds who are:
60 to 85 years old
With or without memory loss
Have a family member or close friend who is with you at least 10 hours per week and can attend study appointments with you.
This study requires two (2) visits to our clinic and one (1) visit to a local imaging site over approximately three (3) months. A follow-up phone call will occur depending on your brain amyloid PET scan results. No experimental treatments are part of this study.
